Busaras is singularly responsible for me buying a car and learning to drive (in that order!). When Citylink stopped their service to Tuam 5 years ago I had no option but to get the bus down from Busaras. After persevering for several journeys I realised I was slowly losing the will to live. Sitting on a smelly, hot/cold, crowded bus and having to change in Athlone was just too much. So, thank you Busaras and CIE, because now it takes me 2.5/3 hours to get to Tuam instead of your 4.5 hours. And I can drive. And its a much more pleasant journey :-)
