McDonalds had to pay out a lot for a woman burning herself (very badly) on their coffee. ASHA (American Speech-Langauge-Hearing Association) has done research on some common electronic devices. I go to a lot of gigs and sometimes the sound level is turned up uncomfortably high, or else I'm getting old! But on the personal music devices, would these companies be liable to be sued if their products cause loss of hearing? That would force them to reduce the maximum volume available on their devices.
