The Dublin Fringe Festival, always an exciting and visual event with definitely something for everyone takes place all over the city centre next month from September 9th until the 24th. The festival website says:

The Dublin Fringe Festival ’06 is Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary festival of contemporary performing arts, providing an annual platform for the most innovative and fresh theatre, visual arts, dance, live art, mixed media and music.
The Fringe celebrates new and emerging artists and fresh approaches to performance in all disciplines, nurturing artistic ambition and excellence. It is an opportunity to innovate, to cross disciplines and boundaries, and to find new ways and places to create work.

The Fringe is a curated festival which seeks innovative and daring work that impacts, moves and invigorates its audience. The website also promises a festival blog so watch that space.
