We are adding to the problems of beds in the capital and therefore the people of Dublin should stand behind this campaign, as it is in all our interests. You complain about your transport problems and yet you seem anxious to have more and more people from rural areas coming to the city for basic services. The original protest took a different form but on Feb 13th a Business Cavalcade will be travelling to Dublin, consisting of business vehicles - once again to make the point that services can and must be available in Monaghan and we ask you to support us, for your own sake as well as ours. People have and will die as a result of the scandalous and ill-informed downgrading of Monaghan Hospital. Being late for work is kind of a small price to pay if it might just get the message to a currently indifferent Taoiseach.
