ha! What are the odds?! It's a shame people aren't more open minded to the area, it's such a great location.
I took the skyline pic from the roof garden.

Well said about Summerhill. I was born there 60 years ago and spent my formative years living in that area now glorying (?) in the title Inner City. (So far I haven't become a serial killer, and not even a mugger... that must be rather disappointing news to some people from outside the area :-) I loved it there, the people were the very salt of the earth, and I know some who still live in Summerhill and the surrounding areas, and they're all fine decent people. I think you'll love it there. In fact my blog is about growing up in that area in the 1950s and 60s.

Congratulations on a great site!

When I came to Dublin first (10 years ago ish) my mother was horrified that I was living on the northside (Leo St - off the North Circular). Its gas really that down the country there is such a perceived notion that the northside is more dangerous than the southside. Utter rubbish in my opinion.

Oh yeah, it's a tough one. Takes months of paper work and determination. But one piece of advice I'd give to anyone trying to do the affordable housing scheme is get in touch with a local councilor, they're usually full of great advice on how to work the scheme.
