I used to think it was just greedy Irish retailers trying to get Christmas going early but it's the same here in Australia. In the Myer Center in Sydney they were selling large plastic Christmas trees and decorations. In every post office I've been in there are shelves and shelved of christmas cards for sale. I havent seen any mention of Halloween yet so I guess they just skip straight to the main event.
