The Bridge should be taken into Public ownership and tolls
removed. Irish and europesn tax payers money funded the roads to
each end of the Bridge.

this is a comment about your poll asking what should be done with o'connell street. in minneapolis, nicollet street downtown is pedestrian and bus only. taxis sometimes use it, too, though i think they're not supposed to.

there's been a movement in the last few years to get the buses off nicollet, because they are so noisy and so polluting that it ruins the ambiance. there are lots of sidewalk restaurants (in the summer) and a big farmer's market from spring til fall, but the noisy belching buses roar past every minute or two, and it's almost less pleasant than if it were cars and everything.

if it's going to be pedestrian only, it should be pedestrian only.
