According to Olivia Mitchell on Oppositiontalk 106 at lunchtime when Fine Gael get elected they are going to put dozens of Gardai sitting around the M50 and Port Tunnel eating doughnuts and waiting for a traffic crisis. Then they will swing into action and direct all the traffic to less crowded streets. Now I wonder will this fantastically well thought out solution be implemented before or after Fine Gael introduce free laptops for all school students and bootcamps for anti-social elements. Do Fine Gael have a file of knee jerk press release policy statements just waiting to go for every conceivable crisis? It’ll be all right.
