I've been driving around this city for years so I'm well aware of how difficult and frustrating it is. There is rarely excuse for not observing the rules of the road. Most recently while driving, and waiting to go over Butt Bridge, I was stuck at the junction of Pearse St and Tara St for 3 changes of lights, while a truck was parked in the yellow box. Its not that you can miss the yellow box, its quite clearly marked - even at night - as you can see from <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dublin_bei_Nacht.jpg" rel="nofollow">this photo</a>. I don't think I'm quick to judge. Bad yellow box behaviour is something that I've experienced as a driver, pedestrian and public transport user for long time. Brandon - don't get me started on non-use of indicators!! Colm wrote a great <a href="http://www.dublinblog.ie/2006/04/01/driving-in-dublin/" rel="nofollow">post</a> on driving in dublin last year. Dublin city is a hard, intimidating place to drive through, not as easy as it looks and even though we all have the best intentions sometimes it's just impossible to not land in a yellow box. I'm not saying there aren't bad drivers out there but just maybe that you shouldn't be so quick to judge, I'm sure if you were driving through the city yourself for any number of years you'd find yourself in the same "yellow-boxed" position once or twice. I would consider myself a very careful driver but have landed in the box a few times over the years. I’m guessing you’re not a driver?
Dublin city is a hard, intimidating place to drive through, not as easy as it looks and even though we all have the best intentions sometimes it’s just impossible to not land in a yellow box.

Now I don't feel so alone! =) I've nearly been hit on numerous occasions when cars coming through roundabouts either indicated wrongly or didn't indicate at all.
