So much for Operation Freeflow! Nothing much flowed around the Point Depot this morning after a truck overturned. This happened at 5.30am, yet it took a full 6 hours for the truck to be removed and caused total gridlock out as far as the airport. How can one incident have such a drastic affect on city traffic?

Wow, it’s been a while since I posted anything here, but this has come my way and is worthy of a mention.

St. Lukes cancer care hospital is due to be closed down shortly. This is a vital, much needed, and much respected service, and everything possible should be done to try and keep it open. There are numerous petitions and services flying about, this is one that’s just been sent my way and is well worth signing, if you too believe saving St Lukes is a good thing. You can go here in order to sign.

Were your family Dubliners back in 1911? If so then it could be worth checking out The National Archives who have just released the 1911 census details including PDF scans of the original documents filled in for each household.

For those of us from bogs we will have to wait a while more before our papers get released ( the civil service are probably still counting them ) .
