Irlande Douze Pointe…
nathalie | February 25, 2008So, it’s official: Dustin the Turkey is going to be representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest semi-final in Belgrade in May.
I’m going to put my neck out there and say I think it’s a great idea; the song is hilarious, ridiculous, silly, frivolous – all the things that winning Eurovision songs have been in the past few years. So shouldn’t we get in on the joke?
You can watch him performing the song, Irlande Douze Pointe, here.

Dana says that Dustin’s victory is an insult to the music industry… Is this the same ‘Music’ industry that takes young peoples dreams, makes them disposable and rips them apart? the same ‘Music’ industry that cares about profits and not music? the same ‘Music’ industry that encourages people to audition for reality TV shows than invites millionaires to laugh at them when they do? The same ‘Music’ industry that encourages Size Zero airheads? The same ‘Music’ industry that encourages wannabee starts not to think for themselves? The same ‘Music’ industry that gave us Dana?
I believe this industry deserves to be insulted. And shame on Dana…
The Eurovision is a joke and should be treated as such…
OMG no way, how cool is that?! Hehe! Gowan ya good thing!
Brilliant! Serves them wirght. the Eurovision is a joke and should be treated as such.
Wonder if there will by picket lines outside Leinster House again about this, just as there were to protest against Brian Kennedy being the Irish entrance to the Eurovision two years ago…
Hi this is Dustin the turkey, the finest bird in Ireland to represent our country in the most prestigious and sacred singing competitions in Europe. Watch out 50cent !!
Bring on the douze points !!
