Red Square
nathalie | July 23, 2008Some pics of Grand Canal Square that I took a while ago and only just found!
I love living here. It’s got its own little buzz going on, it’s close to town (if you’re a slowcoach like me, it’s about eight minutes from Pearse Street DART station), but still quiet and the Docklands Authority are really trying to make sure that some culture and fun is injected into the area.
There are lots of nice places to eat and drink – Riva, Milano, Ely HQ, Ocean, The Ferryman. There’s Fresh for nice supermarket food, KC Peaches for yummy brunches, an Italian bakery for fancy coffee and fabulous bread and, of course, a nice square to lounge around in.
It’s well worth a visit. (And, as an added bonus, every now and again a swan wanders up from the canal and throws you dirty looks).

Very great pictures from Dublin! Thanks a lot for share your passion of this city i love!Michel (France)

love the photos. especially the fourth and last. I didn’t like the third at first, but then i noticed all the people sitting reading.
Wow, fantastic photos once again! I loved taking shots around there when I was in Dublin too, it’s a really cool part of town, and defintely would top the list of places I would live if I were ever to go back!
Superb photos.. Are those poles/ sculptures a permanent fixture?

You’ve really captured Grand Canal Square brilliantly, Nathalie. I must admit, I’ve only been down there to see the place lit up at night. You’ve convinced me to get down there during the day sometime as well!
