Farewell Ronnie the true voice of Dublin. I grew up listening to my fathers Dubliners albums and was in awe at that voice. A deep rumble packed with emotion and when he sang the music faded into the background and all I could remember were the words.

Sad alright. Himself and the Dubliners were responsible for putting Dublin on the map and were the inspiration for many of our current musicians. “Here’s to you Ronnie”.
i feel i have lost a member of my own family with the death of Ronnie Drew
Ronnie Drew will be missed by those who knew him and those who didn’t. He was part of Dublin and he will always be remembered with great love and affection, especially by the people of Dublin.
I was very sad when Ronnie died, but my young daughter loves his voice and always listens to his music when we are in the car, this goes to show that his music will live on with the young people today.
