Dubliner 100 Best Restaurants 2009
Dec | November 19, 2008The Dubliner 100 Best Restaurants for 2009 is out and guess what, the top restaurant is one I can afford to eat in, or at least I could before it became the top restaurant. Jo’Burger in Rathmines. I’ve never eaten there, the queue outside always put us off and sent us down the road to Kafka, but everyone I know who has eaten there raves about it.
As a side story there appears to be a spin off from Jo’Burger called Jo’Banger on Baggot St. It’s just open during the work day, catering got the lunch market. Nice sausage wraps and great soups. Unfortunately it tends towards the expensive side for a lunch sandwich bar and there is a to-let sign up for the last few weeks.

Jo’burger is overhyped rubbish. Hated it when I went there. Prententious menu (give me chips, not deep fried baby potatoes), burgers not great, service average.
Much prefer Bobo’s on Wexford Street.
the one experience of Dublin for eating.. guarantees a full stomach with a burger and a side of their sweet potato lumps as a side order.
personally a unique taste for burgers.. tasty, decent ambience… and a satisfied stomach that wants more even though it reaches threshold level…
When you fancy something simple, use http://www.Just-Eat.ie for ordering food online. Become a critic and rate the restuarants, giving other users a heads up on the best and worst that Ireland’s restaurants have to offer.
Justeat.ie is absolute rubbish. Its an english company that are advertising irish menus. leave it to the irish, we can look after ourselves!
menupages.ie –seems pretty good and at least the ISP is in Ireland.
It’s another peer review site, but the layout is clean and the info looks useful (address, web-page links, hours of operation, map-link).
Hey guess what, I found an irish online ordering website http://www.feedme.ie in Tallaght. They have a good selection of all types of food, i ordered from marsellas, they do really good kebabs, try them. http://www.feedme.ie, support the irish! Irish jobs for irish workers! I looked at menupages, thats a really good site, I think i will take advice from other users and try some of those restaurants. Alhamra in tallaght looks pretty good, Biryani, I love it!
For your information Just-Eat was founded in Denmark in 2000. It has presence in over 8 countries and the Irish version is run by Irish people. I am the MD (born in Limerick) and we report into the international holding company. We employee Iirsh workers as well as non-nationals, but purely based on who is right for the job. We are based on O’Connell Street.
We welcome competition from the likes of feedme, but in my view there isn’t a competitor in Ireland who can do what we do, or offer the comfort of actually caring about your order.
I am open to feedback from any of our customers at any time, just email me.
