I tried and tried to read it and didn't get far. But it's a wonderful day in the city and open to all to enjoy! Get your lamb kidneys for breakfast, gorgonzola for lunch and peaches and seed cake for afters! Do what I do go the food route through the book, lots to enjoy and the Guinness too.. Happy Bloomsday! I love it, thanks to my 'Da' and the fantastic Senator Norris that brings the book alive, a wonderful day.

You did better than me Brandon - I read about 10 pages! There was great excitement in Meeting House Square earlier, but I had to run to work. At the moment I'm listening to a brass band in Temple Bar Square who are very good.

Details on activities here: http://www.visitdublin.com/Events/AllDublinEvents/Detail.aspx?id=235&mid=4369

I got through about a third of it and put it back on my shelf. I can see why literary academics like it. But for us "normal" (non-eccentric?), non-academic readers, it's really not very accessible.
