Last week we had some visitors over from Canada so as a novel night out we decided to go to La Peniche, the floating barge that moves along the Grand Canal on dinner cruises. I’d watched the barge float by on many occasions and always thought it would be nice to have dinner on it but always assumed it would be very expensive. In reality for 5 people for starter, main, desert and 4 bottles of wine it came to €65 each, not cheap but not bad when compared to many other restaurants in Dublin that offer less for similar prices.
