Even though it might be a little late for a comment:

Good job , but you could have seen and done a lot more with your money ;)!

Next time, try this: Walk out to the Phoenix Park, then go to the Collin Barracks. For lunch get a sandwich on O´Connellstreet = 3€. (Cheaper if you´d fix it yourself, but this is easier.) After Lunch do one or two of the walking tours on Dublin.ie. They are pretty good AND they are free! As you are a ‘tourist’, take as many pictures as you can. That’s 3 € spent so far. Cook your own Dinner (Pasta+ tomato sauce, probably 4€ for both days) = 7€. Go down to a pub, enjoy free irish music and have your pint of Guiness (ca. 4€) = 11. (Save the 4€ for the next day.)

Next day use the bus (if you were REALLY into moneysaving, why don´t you collect Refund-due-tickets on the bus ;) (used to work better though when they still had the 1.80 or 1.90 fare..)) to head out to Bray or Howth and do the FREE cliffwalk. Bring a packet of scones and an apple (probably 2€ at Tesco) as this should keep you going for quite a while. (Bus return ~4,20€ or a day ticket out of a rambler pass ~3,80)+ scones+ apple (2€) = ~6,20/5,80€). After spending most of the day doing the cliffwalk and walking around the habour (which is really nice as well) head back to the city centre, use up the end of the pasta + tomato sauce and then take an evening stroll through the city centre. Buy some postcards+ stamps and mail them home (5€), that’s 11€ spent.

I am kind of wondering what to do with the last 8€, but you could probably go for another Guiness and spent the end of your money in Carrolls. I would also recommend Kilmainham Gaol, as that is only 2.10 with your student ID and well worth your money. You could easily do that on your first day, as you are already in the area.
