About Brandon
Brandon is an American in his mid-thirties who was invited to Ireland in the summer of 2006 to work with grassroots community development groups like Serve the City, which has since become his primary focus. Since arriving in Dublin, he and his wife welcomed their first child into the world at Holles Street maternity hospital.
Brandon loves music and finds Dublin to be a haven for fans of some of the best music in the world. (Last.fm profile) He also loves stand-up comedy, art, coffee, stimulating pub chats, and being inspired by creative initiatives to make the world a better place.
Oh yeah, and he tweets too. Never one to be left off the bandwagon, I suppose. Except for turtlenecks in the early ’90s.

Hi Brandon.
My band Attention Bébé are holding a fundraiser for Haiti in the Button Factory this Friday night with another fantastic band Mob Fandango. we want to jam the place and would appreciate if you could promote it on your blog. So far everything has been given for free and all proceeds from the night will be going to Partners in Health. (www.pih.org)

Hi Brandon,
I´m Lisa .
I go to highschool at the moment and for my final written test in English I got the topic “Through Ireland on shoes”.
So I can choose what I´d like to write:
I could write a report over a week in Dublin I which I only spent 100ââ??¬ or I could write about all the public toilets in Dublin or about the museum you have in Dublin.
So I have the fortune to come over to Ireland for a week from about the 21.5.2010 till the 28.5.2010 or the week after these days.
So I wondered weather You could give me some hints whats goning on in these weeks or the names of some places which are typical Dublin, I dont want to walk on the tourist ways through Dublin Id love to get to know something about Dublin what its like when you live there.
Id really be happy if You would answer my mail.
yours
lisa
Hi Brandon,
Just wondered whether you could put a shout out about the 72 Hour Movie? It is an international collaborative film project started by three film grads from UCD. We have been invited to shoot, edit and screen a feature-length movie in three days at the Melbourne International Film Festival this summer, having first achieved the feat in the Galway Film Fleadh in 2008.
We’re relying upon social media to get our project to the masses! It is important as we’d like to offer aspiring actors the opportunity to audition for parts through online sites. There’ll be more details about the auditions and the project on our website http://www.72hourmovie.com after our official launch this afternoon at the Odeon, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2. Please come along if you get the chance!
Best,
James
