About Red Mum

Red Mum is originally from Belfast but has lived on Dublin’s northside for the past 17 years so if that doesn’t make her an honourary Dub, then what does?

She’s also fond of Burdock’s chips, wine and open fires and has been known to go to the shops in her pajamas, which only serves to cement her Dub status.

She is Mum to the Young Wan and the wee doggie and loves photography, writing, crossword puzzles and nights out with friends.

Her personal blog was shortlisted in the Best Personal Blog category at the inaugural Irish Blog Awards in 2006. In 2007 she was shortlisted for the Best Photoblog and Best Personal Blog categories winning the Best Personal Blog. In 2008 she once made the shortlist for the Best Photoblog category.

As well as writing and photoblogging on her own blog imaginatively titled Red Mum and on Dublin Blog, Red Mum has a column in Easy Health magazine.
